Originally created for the ‘Wedding Gowns Through the Ages’ feature at Cake International, this exquisite cake lace mat is a one of a kind design. Overall the design forms a 3D corded lace effect on a mesh lattice background. Featuring a floral lace design that incorporates a number of flowers, ferns and leaves interspersed within it, you can use it to cover a tier with one continuous pattern, or cut out certain parts of the design to create individual decorations. You could even use the smaller pieces to decorate cupcakes, cookies and smaller baked treats. The design is particularly suited for high class wedding cakes or for occasions that require supreme elegance. The mat is versatile and although it features a period design, it is great for use with both vintage as well as modern design cakes.
