Ian Lancaster Fleming (1908 - 1964) was a British journalist and novelist, best known for his post-war James Bond series of spy novels. Commander James Bond CMG RNVR created in 1953, was a composite character based on a number of commandos whom Fleming knew during his service in the Naval Intelligence Division during the Second World War, to whom Fleming added his own style and a number of his own tastes. Contents: From a View To a Kill, For Your Eyes Only, Quantum of Solace, Risico, The Hildebrand Rarity. Used: black cloth over board, embossed 'eye' design in white on front cover. Silver titles down spine. Corners are bumped and tips frayed. Top and bottom of spine shelf wear torn. First blank page is missing, second page is torn down the binding but intact to the book. Binding is tight.
