Fox Killed in the Open: Desert War, The Early Days - Don West. Published by Warrior Press, Paperback, 1992. These are the memoirs of Don West, who fought in the Middle East in World War II. Divided into three campaigns/regions, ordered chronologically, this is a blow-by-blow account of these land victories, as seen through the eyes of the participants. Don West stepped into the desert arena in mid November 1940 and remained remained in the region for around four and a half years. Condition: Good. This copy has been read, but is clean inside. There are grubby marks on the cover, both sides, and creases on the spine. Handwriting in pencil is on the top of the inside front cover and a small mark on the bottom, plus s corresponding mark on the title page. Some marks on the page edges.
