This Fretz Jewellers Short Sharp Raising Hammer is part of the Fretz Jewellers range of hammers that have been specifically designed for medium force striking when making jewellery or smaller metal items. This Fretz Jewellers Hammer features one 15mm x 1.5mm, soft cross pein face which is ideal for creating subtle patterns and perfect for forging wire. One 15mm x 1.0mm, sharp cross pein face that produces superb bark-like textures on wires and thin metal strips. Both faces have a high, mirror finish that ensure fantastic results and work extremely well when used with various stakes to help form finer concave curves. Delivering precision, whilst being built for toughness and durability, this Short Sharp Texturing/Raising Hammer is a great alternative to the longer Fretz Sharp Texturing/Raising Hammer (999 7185). It provides shorter, sharper impressions when working on very small surfaces, perfect for use with lighter metal gauges. The hammer head is made from 420 graded stainless steel and is secured onto a beautifully crafted handle made from oiled Padauk wood, which has been designed to flex during hammering for increased comfort and reduced strain.
