Part of the Fretz Jewellers range Ideal for forging heavy Wire Features a flat and a cross-pein faces Made from Padauk wood and 420 hardened stainless steel This Fretz Jewellers Sedge Hammer features one highly polished 28mm diameter round face suitable for forming and one highly polished with a 24mm x 4mm cross pein face, making it an ideal for drawing metal lengthwise or widening curves. The round flat face of this hammer seems relatively small compared to the head but this is purposely so as not to obstruct the view of your work piece. Delivering precision, whilst being built for toughness and durability, this Fretz Jewellers Sledge Hammer is very heavy which makes it perfect for forging heavy metal. The hammer head is made from 420 graded stainless steel and is secured onto a beautifully crafted handle made from oiled Padauk wood, which has been designed to flex during hammering for increased comfort and reduced strain.
