This Fretz Maker Precisionsmith Planishing Hammer features one 16mm round flat face and one 16mm slightly domed face both highly polished to a mirror finish to help smooth out and remove marks made during previous steps. This hammer is ideal for smaller precise work such as filigree or small vessel forms. Delivering precision, whilst being built for toughness and durability, this hammer is scaled down once more from the Fretz Maker Planishing Hammer (999 7413) it is a much lighter design, perfect for use with lighter metal gauges. The head is made from 420 grade stainless steel and features highly polished faces secured to a handle beautifully crafted from North American ash, oil finished and shaped to give you a light touch. These Fretz Makers Hammers have a 64mm head length as opposed to standard Maker Hammers which measure 75mm.
