Part of the Fretz Silversmithing range Ideal for raising and embossing For Heavier force striking Comes with 11 nylon inserts 420 grade stainless steel and Padauk wood This Fretz Silversmithing Planishing Hammer With Nylon Inserts is part of the Fretz Silversmithing range of hammers that have been specifically designed for heavier force striking when making hollowware and larger metal items. This particular hammer is designed to offer the weight of a metal hammer head, but with a nylon face which will not mark your metal. This Fretz Silversmithing Hammer features two 25mm diameter faces and a range of 11 large nylon inserts which are easily secured to the hammer heads with a set screw. These 11 Inserts are perfect for raising, planishing and embossing work in a range of shapes, and are particularly suited for larger work where additional power is required. The hammer head is made from 420 graded stainless steel and is secured onto a beautifully crafted handle made from oiled Padauk wood, which has been designed to flex during hammering for increased comfort and reduced strain. Replacement nylon inserts are available (999 7187).
