Classic design pendant lamp BL9 in brass The simple, elegant and classic form of the pendant luminaire BL9 makes it an indispensable part of the interior design - not only for private homes, but also for hotels and restaurants. It illuminates dining tables, kitchen and restaurant counters in a focused and pleasant way. Whether placed individually or hung in a row, the pendant luminaire BL9, which is part of the Bestlite series by British industrial designer Robert Dudley Best, guarantees attractive ambient lighting in any location and blends harmoniously into a wide variety of interior design styles. The shade in polished brass gives BL9 a noble and warm character. Robert Dudley Best (1892-1984) was inspired by greats of the Bauhaus, such as Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier. The Bestlite series began with the BL1 flexible table lamp; it was initially used as a workshop lamp and by the Royal Air Force until it became known as Winston Churchill's desk lamp. In 2004 the Danish company Gubi - known for the production of high-quality furniture and lighting - took over the production according to the original designs.
