Very scarce book, signed in two places by Virginia McKenna. A Born Free Wildlife Book published in 2000 by the Born Free Foundation of which Virginia McKenna was a Founder Trustee. Large format paperback with illustrated covers; the covers show little wear except for a small dent towards the base of the spine. Signed by Virginia McKenna on the first/fly title page and also at the end of the preface which she authored. Published in memory of Julie Ward whose photographs, taken in Africa, comprise the second half of the book, and who died tragically in Kenya. The first half of the book consists of a short biography of Julie Ward and her letters home from her travels in Africa. Unpaginated.
