Giuseppe Di Lampedusa - The Leopard - Uk First Edition 1960

Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Originally published in Italy in 1958, the English translation by Archibald Colquhoun was first published in the UK in 1960 by Collins and Harvill Press and this is a first edition, first impression. The green cloth boards with gilt titles to the spine are in very good clean condition. The spine and corners are good with no splitting detected and firm binding. The text block top edge has signs of shelf-wear and the other edges have foxing spots. Inside is a former owner's signature to the loose endpaper otherwise, the 255 pages are clean. The vast majority of the pages are free from foxing however, several have been affected to some degree. The price clipped dust jacket is in very good clean condition with some minor chipping top and bottom and discolouration along the spine. Overall this is a very nice copy of this classic book.
