The book is an history of Bishop Auckland football club, concentrating on the halcyon years from 1949 to 1957 when it was the leading amateur club in England. This hardback edition of the book is in good condition with the dust jacket only exhibiting minor bumps. The front panels are dark blue and clothbound; the corners show small signs of wear. The spine is embossed with gold foil lettering which is unmarked. the book contains a number of black and white images which enhance the text.
