Glyndebourne Festival Opera 1963 - Programme
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Glyndebourne Opera House is a world renowned performance venue, originally opening in 1934 and continuing to host a summer festival and autumn season of opera to this day. This volume is the programme for the 1963 opera festival at Glyndebourne, which includes synopses and cast lists for the operas performed, and a series of essays and articles on opera music and the history of opera at Glyndebourne. The operas performed in the '63 festival were: Strauss' 'Capriccio', Beethoven's 'Fidelio', Debussy's Pelleas et Melisande', Monteverdi's 'L'Incoronazione di Poppea', Mozart's 'Le Nozze di Figaro' and ''Die Zauberflote', and Stravinsky's 'The Rake's Progress'. The booklet itself is in good condition, there is some shelf wear to the oversized cover, particularly around the edges, and some marking to the inside cover, but beyond that it is a clean and clear copy.
