14ct Gold Filled Measures 30mm Modern textured design Spring closure for an endless hoop look This 14ct gold filled hoop earring is perfect to wear alone or to add other findings in order to create an enhanced look to a regular hoop. The textured design adds interest and offers an alternative look to plain style hoops. Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal - usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight. Therefore it makes a great alternative to gold plating, which is thinner and less durable. Unlike gold plated metal, gold filled can be soldered using 9ct or 14ct gold easy solder. The spring closure conceals the way the earring is closed, creating an endless hoop and a minimalist look to keep the focus on your design. 30mm in diameter at a thickness of 1.5mm. Supplied individually.
