At the top of the drop, a single loop allows you to connect this finding to your jewellery designs. Fix to a jump ring or bail to form a finished pendant, charm or earring drop. Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal - usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight. Therefore it makes a great alternative to gold plating, which is thinner and less durable. The shell measures 7mm x 7mm, and has a thickness of 0.25mm. Sold individually.
