Perfect for rounding setting grains Features a polished concave end No.7 - 0.60mm Made from steel Made with steel, this grain tool is aproximately 60mm in length, at the end of which is a polished concave hemisphere. Used with a Ball Shaped Handle (999 ALL - ALP) or the Universal Handle (999 AZM) it is employed when grain setting, grains from the metal`s surface are lifted with a scorper (999 AYA - AZJ) and then rounded with the grain tool over the stone. The size of the tool should relate to that of the grain. There are various sizes available, the smallest tool Size 1 measures 0.30mm with the largest tool Size 20 measuring 1.25mm. Other sizes are available; Size 3 = 0.40mm 982 003 Size 4 = 0.45mm 982 004 Size 5 = 0.50mm 982 005 Size 6 = 0.55mm 982 006 Size 8 = 0.65mm 982 008 Size 9 = 0.70mm 982 009 Size 10 = 0.75mm 982 011 Size 20 = 1.25mm 982 090 Also available in a set of 12, sizes 5-16 with handle see 999 AIR. These tools are can be sharpened with a `FION` plate see 999 2354.
