A moralizing French children's book aimed at educating the young. It is the French version. It is a story of Georgette, Jeanne and Rose going to spend the summer at Grandma's old house. When Grandma sits on the terrace, in her old wing chair, between the boxes of orange trees and the large pots of laurels, and her pale face, sheltered by a large garden cap, smiles gently, with her eyes remaining so young, there is, between her and the old house at hood of slates, which also laughs, through its shiny windows, a strange resemblance. Grandma is really only there to give her little girls fresh air,fun,the treats from her table. The book is edgeworn, loose, darkening along the exposed page ends. The hardcover is worn with staining.
