The new beautiful Grand Seiko 62GS from the award winning Spring Drive collection embodies an exquisite selection of traditional elements to the design which hark back to the original 1967 model. The stunning deep admiral blue dial with granite type texture, reincarnates the original 62GS design with a set of beautifully faceted lugs and applied zaratsu polishing to its high intensity titanium lugs. Featuring Grand Seikos most advanced mechanical components, the 9R65 movement powering the new 62GS Spring Drive offers 72 hours of power reserve, beats at an impressive 28000 bph and consists of 30 jewels. Powered from a mainspring, the Spring Drive is a traditional mechanical watch where a new type of regulator replaces the escapement. It is the only movement in the world powered in this way and controlled by a precise signal from an electronic oscillator. With a water resistance of 10 bar and a magnetic resistance of 4800 a m, the watch offers unconditional power and impeccable service regardless of external factors. A screw down crown and see through exhibition glass leads to a dual curved sapphire crystal glass window at the front of the watch with anti reflective and scratch resistant treatment. Emphasizing a collection of beautiful design features to the face such as the dauphine style central hour and minute hands, a sweeping needle thin second hand is a subtle date window etched in a silver trim with a stark white background for ultimate legibility, the Grand Seiko 62GS Spring Drive Limited Edition to 700 pieces achieves perfect balance and a superbly aligned symmetrical dial layout. Finished on a high intensity titanium bracelet with a three fold clasp and push button release mechanism, the new Grand Seiko model from the Spring Drive family offers sleek sophistication, infused with a symphony of the Japanese brands cutting edge technology.
