A fruit-forward Bourbon Whiskey finished in Port wood and bottle hot at 50% ABV. In 2008, Stephen Gould and Karen Knight founded Golden Moon Distillery in Golden, Colorado. Stephen had amassed a world-class collection of antique books on Spirits and the art of distilling and they shared a dream to bring this knowledge to life -- creating premium, hand-crafted Spirits. In twelve years that distillery has amassed dozens of awards recognizing distilling excellence and their success creating a wind range of Whiskies, Spirits, and Liqueurs. The Gun Fighter line of Whiskeys from Golden Moon share a few specs, including aging techniques and time. The Bourbon is a combination of a variety of ages. The youngest Spirit in the bottle is aged six months, but reports are that the average age in two years. But just like its sister Rye Whiskey, all of the Spirits are married and finished in Port casks made of French oak. It's bottled hot at a solid 50% ABV.
