What is the active ingredient in HC45 Cream and how does it work? The active ingredient in HC45 hydrocortisone cream is hydrocortisone acetate. Hydrocortisone works by changing how your body reacts to irritants and insect stings. This cream reduces inflammation in your skin, easing symptoms like redness, itching, and swelling. Warnings and Precautions Not suitable for use by children under 10 years of age unless advised by a doctor. Do not use: If you are allergic to any of the ingredients this product contains On eyes, face, anal or genital areas On broken or infected skin (impetigo, cold sores, acne, athlete’s foot, or infected insect bites or stings) Speak to your GP before use if: You are pregnant or breastdfeeeding You are taking or using any other medicines especially skin products.
