Hedrin 4% Lotion What is Hedrin 4% Lotion? Hedrin 4% lotion is used for the eradication of headlice infestations. The active ingredient in Hedrin 4% lotion is dimeticone. Dimeticone is a silicone-based substance that effectively drowns lice by coating them and preventing them from being able to move. This means that the lice will never become immune to this treatment. Unlike other headlice treatments which work by poisoning the lice to kill them. Also available: Hedrin Once Spray Gel Warnings and Precautions If you are pregnant or breastfeeding it is advised you speak to your GP or pharmacist before use. Children under six months should only be treated under medical supervision. Keep hair that is and has recently been treated away for naked flames and heat sources.
