Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
This four volume set, as part of the Gloucestershire Record Series, is a facsimile of an original set of publications by the estate of Ralph Bigland, Garter Principal King of Arms, between 1791-1899. The original work was intended to be a new county history, and includes a multitude of information and essays from botany and local geology, to tables of marriages, births, and deaths, to comments and markets and local economy, and more. This is an incredibly comprehensive study of the local history throughout Gloucestershire, and invaluable for historians and genealogists. This collection includes all parts of the published facsimile. The books themselves are in great condition, there is some minor creasing and shelf-wear to the covers, but beyond that they are clean and clear, waiting to be read.
