Our book is photographed to see. A rare first edition. Some rubbing to corners/spine ends Blue canvass boards with gilt lettering Hedley Lucas, the 'Cheshire Poet' of the 1930s and 1940s, was born in Joynson Street, Sale. His published works include "Homage to Cheshire" and "Collected Poems, 1933-1953". Oxford University still has a Hedley Lucas scholarship for "undergraduates reading for the Honour School of Theology or for the Honour School of Philosophy and Theology...Preference will be given to candidates preparing to enter the Christian Ministry".
