No date, circa 1880 Condition: Used Good Description: Red cloth binding; elaborate design; no jacket. Front cloth board has come away from main body of book. Internally some foxing due to age. Ex-library book; owner's name inside front cover. Illustrated. Moxon's Popular Poets The Poetical Works of Thomas Hood. Thomas Hood, 1799 ?1845, was a British humorist and poet. After working in a counting house, and then studying engraving, Hood moved to Scotland, where he began to seriously write poetry. Before long Hood contributed humorous and poetical articles to the provincial newspapers and magazines.
