Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Part of a longer 'how Things Developed' series, this volume focus on the history of clothing. An overview of clothing within, primarily British, history we begin with a discussion on the transition between ancient societies primitive clothing through clothing as developed by the people living in the British isles during the Roman occupation, till the beginning of the Norman invasion. The majority of the book focuses on this post-Norman Britain, though still providing a fairly detailed insight into this part of British cultural history. The book itself is in good condition, it is an ex-library book with the related stamps, and some shelf-wear, but the vast majority is clean and clear, making a good reading copy.
