Originally published in the 1930s, "How To Do And Say In England" is a spoof foreign tourist guide detailing how to speak and behave when in England. The author, Anthony Robertson, concocts model Englishmen, Lord Smith, Lord Robinson and Viscount Brown, to demonstrate to eager students just how to get along. Unfortunately, this advice leads to things going terribly wrong. The text is beautifully illustrated throughout with black and white drawings by J.S.Goodall. Internally, the pages do have some marks and there is slight foxing to the page edges but generally the condition is good. The cloth cover is in good condition with some wear commensurate with its age. |The spine has some fading. A section of the original dust jacket is included with the book, this too has some marks. The plain end paper is inscribed with Xmas 1936 Measurements:13cmx19cmx1.8cm
