Celebrating its partnership with the Cousteau Society, this IWC Schaffhausen Aquatimer Automatic Edition "Expedition Jacques Yves Cousteau" watch pays tribute to scuba diving pioneer Jacques Cousteau with this powerful rugged tool for underwater exploration. The solid stainless steel case of the watch is integrated with 300 meter water resistance, and holds the Calibre 30120 at its centre. The in house made movement provides a useful 42 hour power reserve and sits behind a specially engraved caseback showing Jacques Cousteau in his signature woollen beanie. This IWC Schaffhausen Aquatimer Automatic Edition "Expedition Jacques Yves Cousteau" watch presents the time on a deep blue dial with a quarter hour scale marked out in luminous coated indexes. A date feature resides at 3 o'clock, surrounded by a chamfered external bezel with an easy-drip, gently rounded design. Its external and internal bezel with Safe Dive system ensures that elapsed time underwater is effectively and safely monitored. Inspired by the Porsche design of the Ocean 2000 of 1982, this IWC Aquatimer watch boasts a purist dial design, complete on a rubber strap with the company's "quick change" System for alternating with a stainless steel bracelet.
