Dressed in the signature midnight blue dial seen throughout IWC Schaffhausen's special "Le Petit Prince" editions, this elegant Big Pilot's watch pays tribute to the literacy work of Antoine de Saint Exupery, the famous French pilot and novelist. Inside a confident 46mm stainless steel case lies an impeccably built in house movement. The Calibre 52110 can provide a very useful 7 day power reserve, which can be monitored from the model's dial side. The power reserve indicator takes over the 3 o'clock location leaving part of the Arabic numeral at 4 o'clock exposed. A date aperture is dressed against a bright white background at 6 o'clock to enhance readability, enabling the wearer to keep organised throughout each month. The central seconds hand is an essential feature of a pilot's watch. In this IWC Big Pilot's Watch Edition "Le Petit Prince" it joins a set of luminous central hour and minute hands, optimally protected underneath a sheet of anti reflective sapphire crystal glass. Inside the case of this men's IWC Pilot's watch, the automatic movement is protected inside the company's innovative soft-iron inner cage, protecting its performance from the damaging effects of magnetic fields.
