In Production: Black Gold and I Am Film: Work in Progress - Doha Film Institute Since 2009 French photographer Brigitte Lacombe has been creating I AM FILM, an on-going archive of portraits of filmmakers from the world of Arab Cinema for Doha Film Institute and Doha Tribeca Film Festival. In Production: Black Gold is illustrated with reproductions of dozens of on-location Lacombe's photographs of the making of the film Black Gold, directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud. The other book, I Am Film: Work in Progress, shows Lacombe's photographs of Arab cinema stars and personalities. Volume titles, captions, credits, and texts in English and Arabic. With introductions by Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Founder and Board Chair of DFI; Amanda Palmer, Executive Director, DFI; and Jean-Jacques Annaud. Two book together in a case. In very good condition with clean pages inside.
