Dimmable LED hanging light Luce Volante with uplight and downlight "Flying light" - the Luce Volante hanging light by Ingo Maurer has been given this poetic title. Looking at its design, it is clear why. The body, which is made of aluminium and glass fibre, looks like a light sheet of paper or a piece of fabric which seems to flutter in the wind. The light source sits in the middle of this slightly undulating sheet. What is really special about the light source is that it emits its light not only downwards but also upwards. The light output on the table surface below the lamp is, of course, much greater than that emitted upwards, which is understandable as the light is mainly required on the table surface. Only room or ambient lighting should be emitted upwards. The Luce Volante designer hanging light from Ingo Maurer provides high-quality and functional light over tables in sitting rooms or dining rooms as well as over counters.
