The Wicker Man, first single from Maiden's eagerly anticipated Brave New World album, is a typical Maiden rocker, with some amazing guitar work courtesy of the returning Adrian Smith, and soaring vocals from the Air-raid siren himself, Master Bruce Dickinson. But the real attraction of this single are the live performances of Man On The Edge and Powerslave, both taken from 1999's Ed Hunter Tour which saw the rejoining of both Dickinson and Smith. Man On The Edge, a fairly strong Maiden classic from the days of Bruce's replacement, Blaze Bayley, benefits incredibly from Bruce's voice. And Powerslave, well, if you thought the Live After Death version was good, wait till you hear this!!! It is nothing short of PHENOMENAL. It is one of those 'you should have been there' moments. Incredible. With the added bonus of The Wicker Man video, this CD is a must have if you never saw Maiden on the Ed Hunter Tour.
