James Woodforde - The Diary Of A Country Parson
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
A well known parson's diary covering every day from 1758 to 1803 and edited for this Oxford University Press edition by John Beresford in 1924. Plain bound Oxford Blue hardback. The notes and occasional footnotes are very helpful. Woodforde provides a meticulous record of his days. The daily entries are also accompanied by weather notes. The diary provides a wonderfully full account of the small community in which the diarist lived. This is a hardback book, published in 1924, there is a some browning to the frontispiece and some foxing to the internal pages.
