An attractive pair of silver plated, double curve cabochon drop earrings, with natural garnet gemstone cabochons as their focal point. Garnet is one the traditional birthstones for January & also celebrates the 2nd Wedding Anniversary. Garnets are a group of silicate minerals, used since the Bronze Age as gemstones & abrasives. All species of garnets possess similar physical properties & crystal forms, but differ in chemical composition. Garnets are said to promote strength in times of pain & hopelessness. Garnet is naturally, a very deep red colour, similar to burgungy. The earrings are made from shiny, superior silver plated brass. They are hypoallergenic & nickel free. DIMENSIONS The total drop length of each earring from the base of the ear wire is approximately 3cm (1 & 1/4 inch). The earrings measure 2.5cm (1 inch) in length & approximately 1.3cm (1/2 inch) at their widest point. Each opposite facing curve measure 2cm (3/4 inch) in length & 5mm (3/16 inch) at their widest point. The garnets are round, smooth, domed with a diameter of 6mm (1/4 inch).
