In this release from Image Entertainment, German composer Christoph Willibald Gluck's 1762 opera Orphee et Eurydice is brought to life in a 1999 performance by the Theatre Musical de Paris. Directed by Robert Wilson and conducted by John Eliot Gardiner, the opera based on the tragic Greek myth stars Magdalena Kozena and Madeline Bender as the titular couple and was adapted into French. Also starring Patricia Petibon, Orphee et Eurydice features the song "J'ai perdu mon Eurydice. Disc in immaculate condition.
