Jules Bastien-lepage And His Art - A Memoir
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Jules Bastien-Lepage (1848- 1884) was a French painter closely connected with the early days of naturalism, a style that evolved from the later phase of the Realist movement. His most notable work is his landscape-style portrait of Joan of Arc, currently residing in the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. A modern repro of a classic, older title. Hardpress, the publisher have reproduced the pages and illustrations of the original, including the library lending label at the back. Quality not great but still readable.
