The BFC 120 is a rare breed of boot: resort orientated with plenty of features and wide fit, but with a stiff enough flex to support powerful skiers and stop them overbending the boot which can lead to foot and leg pains. With a 103mm last, straight out of the box it will take a wide foot comfortably, and if more space is needed then both the liner and the shell can be custom moulded during fitting to get more space and improve the shape. Getting in and out is easy thanks to the soft overlap material at the instep, and the Apr s Mode 2.0 and GripWalk soles make getting around easy. The PU shell ensures good energy transfer for the performance to drive skis at speed and hold an edge. Ability Level Boots11 Overview Fit High volume fit with big instep and very roomy forefoot. Shell TPU shell, customisable. Using a TPU shell and PP cuff means the BFC 120 can be easily customised and has the power to drive skis, but it remains light and not over stiff. Liner CushFit Pro, mouldable. Maintains the renowned comfort of the original CushFit liner, but with a notable increase in support and performance thanks to the use of Ultralon foam, similar to what is used in K2's Powerfit Pro and Precisionfit Pro liners. Ellis Brigham was born in 1933, the brainchild of Frederick Ellis Brigham, who set up business making cycling shoes and walking boots in a tiny 'two up, two down' building on the outskirts of Manchester.
After the war, as mountain walking and climbing became more and more popular, the shop began to sell ex-WD climbing equipment and Brigham's boots with their special nailing patterns became very sought after.
Fast forward almost 80 years and Ellis Brigham now has 24 shops across the UK and a leading website, making it the UK's premier retailer for ski hardware, mountaineering equipment and outdoor clothing.
