The cutting edges are separately induction hardened for durabilty and longer working life and are hardend to approximately 61HRC. The jaws are angled at 40° and are ideal for use on electronic or tight to reach areas on computers, circuitry, or motor vehicles applications. Knipex have used a good quality special tool steel material that is oil hardened.
