Class AA means that the garment has approved abrasion resistance built in, meaning an outer shell is no longer necessary unless you want to wear one.This improved technical performance of the Urbane Pro MKII comes at no loss of breathability or extra weight. The shirts design aesthetic, abrasion resistance, superior stretch comfort, lightweight and breathability remain intact. It has also been designed to be the most versatile, CORE garment for any rider, no matter what motorcycle they ride. In changing weather conditions just add warm or waterproof layers, knowing that the Urbane Pro MKII is still the CORE abrasion and armour layer beneath. The Urbane Pro MKII has been designed to work seamlessly with all styles of Knox base layers, mid layers and outerwear. This Shirt has been skilfully designed using high performance technical fabrics specially selected for their abrasion, cut and tear resistance. Due to this Shirt being worn close to the body, the armour stays in place and won t move around. This Shirt includes the most advanced and softest Knox MICRO-LOCK armour in the Shoulders, Elbows and Back. MICRO-LOCK Armour are the softest, most comfortable protectors Knox has ever made and totally contour to the body. This softness, linked with Micro-Lock s smart protective qualities, means Knox can engineer many shapes and thicknesses so each rider is able to find the perfect protector for every garment. Knox MICRO-LOCK uses SMART technology and properties which keep the armour super soft to touch, but it locks when impacted, keeping you protected. This locking action increases the amount of impact absorbed by the protector, reducing the energy passed through to your precious limbs. Knox MICRO-LOCK solves the temperature stability issue by using a unique mix of materials which keep the protector softer in the cold. MICRO-LOCK's impact performance is also stable across all temperatures and environments. (Low profile Shoulder and elbows EN 1621-2 Level 1.) There are also thumb loops to keep the sleeves in place, and an improved security belt loop system on the inside to ensure riders can secure their trousers to their shirt for the best possible fit.
