Frantisek Kupka (1871-1957) was a Czech painter and graphic artist. He was a pioneer and co-founder of the early phases of the abstract art movement and Orphic Cubism. Kupka's abstract works arose from a base of realism, but later evolved into pure abstract art. This item is a collection of essays and a catalogue to celebrate the exhibition held 1998-1989. 17 colour plates (see image 2 for an example) and many monochrome photos and reproductions within the text. Spanish language text. Very good condition, almost 'as new'.
