La Faience De Gien
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
Even when it comes to the richest and most beautiful subjects, it is not uncommon to read the most boring books. They become boring because they want to be so obviously knowledgeable that they quickly become pedantic. Then there are other books, those who are served by joyful scholarship and strive to show a detail's virtuosity, a technical achievement or the artistic thought that brought such a work of art to life. Leafing through the following pages, the reader will soon understand that Jean-Claude Renard's book falls under the second category. Here, passion and generosity are at play, and the quality of true knowledge which is to love and share that love with others. Amateur takes on its original Latin sense, in its most noble sense. Very good condition. Very minor signs of shelf wear including creasing to the spine. However, the text is clean, the binding is secure and there are otherwise no significant marks or damage. The book is written in French and in translated into English.
