A large statement piece pendant in the shape of a cross, set with five natural snowflake obsidian cabochons for decoration. The metal component of the pendant is made from shiny, superior silver plated brass. Obsidian snowflake is a semi precious gemstone, originating from volcanic gas. It is regarded as a stone of purity & is claimed to assist in grounding in times of chaos & negativity. The stone is opaque black in appearance with mottled areas of grey. It is polished to give a beautiful surface sheen. Being a natural material, markings & patterns will vary. The one in the photograph is the one you will receive. DIMENSIONS The total height of the pendant, including the circular bail at the top is 5.7cm (2 & 1/4 inch). The widest point of the cross measures 4.5cm (1 & 3/4 inch). The cabochons set within the cross are all natural, domed & polished. The central cabochon is round with a diameter of 1cm (3/8 inch) The other four outer cabochons are oval, measuring 8mm x 6mm (5/16 inch x 1/4 inch). The cross is hung on a 20 inch (approx 48cm) long superior silver plated, diamond cut curb chain. It is 1.5mm (1/16th inch) wide, fastening with a traditional bolt ring clasp. The chain can be changed for a longer 24 inch one or a shorter 18 inch one, if preferred (please feel free to message me with a request).
