With long stems and a strong, bushy habit, this is one of the larger lavender varieties, perfect for a wider space or to grow as a hedge. The fragrance from both the aromatic foliage and the summer flowers fills the air during the summer months, the blooms are also a magnet for bees and butterflies. Low maintenance and easy to grow, this drought tolerant shrub puts on an effortless show in any sun-baked spot. Not only a shrub for summer interest, once clipped back in autumn it forms a neat and formal bush of silver-grey foliage which provides structural interest through the colder months too. Height: 1m (3?). Spread: 1m (3?). Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. There are many ways to use lavender flowers, both in sweet or savoury dishes.
