Leadership Perspectives explains Nursultan Nazarbayev's vision for the planet. He places the current geopolitical situation in its historical, political, economic, religious and ethnic context. Written from a Kazakhstan and Central Asian perspective, this collection of speeches represents his plan for global harmony and Kazakhstan's place in the world. He describes the problems facing the international community from poverty to terrorism and presents practical suggestions and solutions. Nursultan Nazarbayev has a unique vantage point. He became President of Kazakhstan in April 1990 having begun his life as an apprentice in the Karagandy Metallurgical Works. In 1975 he became Secretary of the Communist Party Committee at the Works and was elected First Secretary of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan before becoming Chairman of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic in July 1990. He was reelected to a fifth term as President of Kazakhstan on 25th April, 2015.
