Lecube is the solo recording persona of Julien Barbagallo, a songwriter born in South West France to Sicilian parents. This new mini album on Megaphone brings together eight songs, two of which previously appeared on a 7" ('Lady Pornograph' and Beatles cover 'If I've Just Seen A Face'). Lecube sounds best on nicely shambolic, hyper-tuneful ditties like 'Before I Die' and the almost Saint Etienne-like 'Your Love Is Old-Fashioned', seemingly always being able to turn in a neat little pop number when he wants to.
