Letter to a Hostage by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. FIRST EDITION. Published by Heinemann London 1950. Bound in ivory cloth with brown tooled titles to upper board and spine. In the original unclipped powder blue publisher's dust-jacket. Cloth clean ; contents tight, bright. Dust-jacket has minor toning and nibbles to spinetips and corners, with vibrant lettering and no major loss or tears. Pen dedication on first blank page but otherwise the 32 pages are clean and unmarked. Overall condition: used but very good. Speculative, evocative, and fragmentary treatise on the nature of humanity written whilst Saint-Exupery fled from war-torn France via Portugal.
