Leyland Retriever Service Manual 1939/40 The Leyland Retriever was a 6x4 truck produced by Leyland Motors for the British Army between 1939 and 1945. It had a 6-litre, 4 cylinder overhead camshaft petrol engine. General Montgomery used one as his caravan during the Second World War. This is now on display at now the Imperial War Museum Duxford. Sections: Lubricants Controls and Operation Maintenance Engine Engine Auxiliaries Radiator Clutch Gearbox Auxiliary Gearbox Transmission Rear Axle Front Axle Steering Gear Brakes Road Springs Electrical Equipment Black and white graphic illustrations throughout. In excellent condition for it's age. Card wrap-a-round cover with scuffing but no major tears. Punch hole binding still secure. Pages very clean for this type of manual with only the odd thumb mark.
