Phineas Taylor Barnum 1810 - 1891) was an American showman, politician, and businessman, remembered for promoting celebrated hoaxes and for founding the Barnum & Bailey Circus, an American travelling circus company that became known as the Greatest Show on Earth. Benton details the unique and marvellous career of P. T. Barnum, from his boyhood and youth to his astonishing success, losses and his reception to nobility all around the world. This is a hardback edition, elegantly illustrated with photographs. The book is in good condition - there is no dust jacket but the cover has been nicely preserved, with only a few light marks to the back. The pages are in very good condition.
