London: A History In Maps
Merchant: Oxfam
Merchant's Category: Media> Books
London - A History in Maps published by the British Library in association with the London Topographical Society beautifully illustrates the development of London over the past 750 years from a small town, snuggly fitted within its walls, into one of the world's greatest and most dynamic capitals. Based on an exhibition held at the British Library, the book is written by Peter Barber, a Council member of the London Topographical Society and the head of maps and topographical views at the BL, with notes on the engravers by Laurence Worms, also a Council member of the LTS and the President of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association. This edition has no dust jacket but otherwise is in very good condition.
