Hardback, 1901, John C. Nimmo. A 3 volume set with red boards, gilt lettering and embossing on spines which are slightly faded. Excellent condition. Deckle edge with gilt to top edge. Marbled endpapers. Pencil price inside. A detailed history of London. With original etchings by Adrian Marcel. Identified on the spine as "Jesse's Historical Memoirs " volumes XXVI, XXVII and XXVIII. Volume 1 has 2 portraits and 4 illustrations and 361 pages. Volume 2 has 7 illustrations. in 346 pages. Volume 3 has 3 portraits and 2 illustrations in 450 pages. The top of page blocks of all 3 volumes are gilt and smooth while the facing page block is marbled.
