Grow your own Mediterranean Salad from scratch with our seed mix, containing Little Gem Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, Red Onion and Sweet Pepper. Outdoor Planting: Little Gem Lettuce: Sow seeds thinly 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed in rows 12" (30cm) apart. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 10" (25cm) apart. Ideal for successional sowing. Keep well watered in dry conditions. Tomato: Sow seeds 1.5cm deep in pots or trays of moist compost, be careful not to over-water. Store in a warm location at an approx. temperature of 18@c (65@f). When the seedlings are approx. 6" high, transfer to larger pots and reduce the temperature to 16@c (60@f). Cucumber: Sow seeds 0.5cm deep direct in growing bed. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. Pick fruit regularly and feed well. Keep well watered in dry conditions. Keep free from weeds. Red Onion: Sow seeds 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 9" (25cm) apart. Keep free from weeds. Sweet Pepper: Sow seeds 5mm deep in pots or trays of moist compost, store in a warm place at an approx. temperature of 18-21@c (65-70@f). Once all chance of frost has passed the plants can be transplanted into growing beds or patio tubs outside, harden off first. These plants do best in very mild conditions, therefore, it would be better to keep them in a greenhouse or indoors. Please reference back of pack for full planting and harvesting instructions.
