Complete three volume set of an account of working with Thomas Edison at his Menlo Park Laboratory to invent the incandescent light, written by a former lab assistant of his. Volume One contains parts one and two, 'The Years Prior to 1879' and 'Invention of the Electric Light, 1879' Volume Two contains parts three and four, 'Early Development of Electric Lighting' and 'Later Development'. Volume Three contains part five, 'The Lighting of New York City'. All volumes have their original copyright dates noted (1937, 1939, 1941), but no edition remarks. Condition: All three volumes have shelfwear, corner bumping, rubbing, and small marks to boards. Volumes one and two have yellowed pages and small marks throughout, but are entirely readable; volume three has cleaner pages. All volumes have intact bindings.
